Pack Like a Pro: Your Ultimate Camp Summerdaze Packing Guide

The Adventure Begins Before You Arrive

One of the questions we receive every year is:

"What should I pack?"

The truth is, there isn't a perfect packing list - but there is  a smart one.

Camp Summerdaze is an off-grid camping experience where you'll spend four beautiful days immersed in nature, music, wellness, creativity, and community. A little planning before you leave home means more time enjoying everything the weekend has to offer.

Whether you're a seasoned camper or this is your very first festival, here's our complete guide to packing for Camp Summerdaze.  Itemized list below and on our FAQs!

Camping Essentials

Your campsite becomes your home for the weekend, so make it comfortable.

Please bring:

  • Tent
  • Tent stakes & mallet
  • Sleeping bag
  • Pillow
  • Sleeping pad or air mattress
  • Extra blanket
  • Tarp (under your tent)
  • Extra tarp for rain or shade
  • Camping chairs
  • Lantern
  • Headlamp or flashlight
  • Batteries
  • Portable charger or battery pack

Clothing

Weather can change quickly in the Valley.

Plan for warm afternoons, cool evenings, and the possibility of the wet stuff - but don't worry, we're all putting out amazing vibes for stunning weather!

We recommend packing:

  • Comfortable daytime clothing
  • Theme day outfits
  • Warm sweater or hoodie
  • Rain jacket
  • Extra socks
  • Comfortable walking shoes
  • Sandals
  • Pajamas
  • Hat
  • Sunglasses
  • Swimsuit
  • Towel

Layers are your best friend.

Theme Days

One of the best parts of Camp Summerdaze is seeing everyone's creativity come to life.

Don't stress about having the "perfect" outfit.

Visit a thrift store.
Borrow from friends.
Create something yourself.
Have fun with it.

Remember... participation is always more fun than perfection.  Theme day information can be found on our Instagram page!

Water & Hydration

Hydration is one of the most important things you can bring.

Although drinking water is available during wellness and music programming, every camper must bring enough water for your campsite throughout the weekend.

Please avoid bringing cases of small plastic water bottles.

Instead, bring:

  • Large refillable water jugs
  • Reusable water bottles
  • Hydration packs
  • Electrolytes

Your body will thank you.

Food & Meal Plans

If you've purchased one of our catered meal plans, you're in for a treat.

Meal plans mean:

  • No grocery shopping
  • No coolers full of food
  • No cooking
  • No dishes
  • More time dancing, exploring, and connecting

We'll also have a selection of food vendors serving delicious options throughout the weekend.

Bring snacks and drinks for your campsite, but let the team do the cooking.

Festival Essentials

Don't leave home without:

  • Government-issued ID
  • Ticket QR Code (take a screenshot before arriving)
  • Screenshot of your waiver confirmation
  • Screenshot of all purchased Add-Ons
  • Wallet
  • Cash
  • Credit/debit card
  • Reusable water bottle
  • Coffee mug
  • Reusable plate, bowl & cutlery

Extras You'll Be Glad You Packed

These little things can make a big difference.

Bring:

  • Yoga mat or blanket
  • Notebook and pen
  • A wagon (our #1 camper recommendation!)
  • Cigarettes (if applicable) and a portable ashtray
  • Small portable camping stove (butane or propane only)
  • Garbage bags for your own waste

Camp Insider Tip

A wagon is one of the best things you can bring.

You'll likely make a few trips between your vehicle and your campsite, and a wagon makes hauling water, coolers, tents, and gear dramatically easier.

Trust us - festival veterans never leave home without one.

Leave the Packaging at Home

Before heading to Camp, take a few extra minutes to unpack your groceries and camp supplies.

Instead of bringing:

  • Cardboard boxes
  • Plastic wrappers
  • Cases of bottled water
  • Excess packaging

Consider repacking everything into reusable bins or containers.

This means:

  • Less waste
  • Faster camp setup
  • Easier pack-down
  • A cleaner, more beautiful festival site

Every small effort helps protect the land we all love.

Things to Leave at Home

For everyone's safety and to help us care for the land, please leave these items at home:

  • Glass
  • Fireworks
  • Personal fire pits
  • BBQs
  • Charcoal
  • Excess packaging
  • Single-use plastics whenever possible

Small portable butane or propane camping stoves are welcome.

Pack In. Pack Out.

Camp Summerdaze follows a Leave No Trace philosophy.

Everything you bring onto the land should leave with you (or disposed in our eco stations).

Please bring enough garbage and recycling bags for your campsite and help us keep the forest as beautiful on Monday as it was on Thursday.

Our land is something truly special, and together we can protect it for years to come.

One Last Thing...

The best campers don't necessarily pack the most.

They pack thoughtfully.

Bring what you need.
Leave behind what you don't.
Bring your curiosity.
Bring your kindness.
Bring your dancing shoes.

We'll take care of the rest.

We'll see you in the forest.

1 + 1 = 11

Welcome home.
